ANOTHER JENN SHOW

Hello Kast Family,

Just got home from another exciting day at C J Willis Medical Center. Jenn looked pretty good today. She was able to eat a hearty breakfast of juice and broth and lunch was yummy, pudding, tomatosoup and more juice. She finally got some coffee and cream today and “Ahhhh…”, it was good.

This afternoon her nurse came in and said, “time to get up”. We walked to the bathroom and she washed, got her hair combed and pulled back and really perked up. Then back and in to a big comfy chair. She was there at least three hours. She was awake, talking and actually interesting company (finally :).    But, she was complaining of ‘dry skin’ and itching. I checked her all over and had her nurse take a look. No rash, but probably a reaction to her medication. So, let’s get a little benadryl IV for the itch. That’s when the show started.

She started telling me about an old girlfriend who was visiting the night before surgery ( I could have sworn no one was here), then realized she was trying to tell me about her trip to NY to meet Fuat when he arrived. And, oh yeah, she got a message from her friend, never did see her. Then she tried to tell another joke. Then her head started to bob, put a pillow behind her and she promptly fell asleep, for about 3 minutes, then up again and babbling. Dad and Joyce got back from dinner and got in on some of the show too………… it went on for quite a while.

Finally decided we were all out of there. Last night she didn’t get much sleep with all the in and out of staff and worrying if they were bothering Fuat. She, we decided she would rest better if no one stayed, so after we tied Fuat up and dragged him from the room we were on our way. Steve (dad)  is 3 minutes away across the parking lot if she needs anything immediately and we are only 20 minutes away so we should be good.

Don’t know yet if Monday is home day, but hoping. Will keep you posted on the latest.

Take care Kast Family, Love you

Joan

ps: For you medical people out there, Jenn has one of the nicest incisions I have ever seen. I was really impressed. I would take a picture and post it, but Jenn is such a spoil sport. Drats !!!

pps: Love the jokes in the gallery. Jenn hasn’t seen them yet, and gosh, you guys, don’t make her laugh, it hurts 🙂
