Hello Everyone,
Another busy day is drawing to a close, at least for me. Jenn just got back to Ohio and will be working tonight, probably late. She may be settling in just as I am about to get up to start my day….5am to 5pm for me tomorrow. At least this time of year it is light at one end of the day at least.
We went to see Kerrie today. The gravesite is beginning to settle and will probably soon be ready for grass seed. It seemed strange to be there. But we both realized that she isn’t really there, she’s everywhere, visiting and looking and checking on us. We left her some flowers, really the tail end of some of the flowers from her funeral, the last of the sunflowers and a couple from outside my front door. We talked to her for awhile, and then told her how much we loved her and missed her. I’ve never been much for visiting cemetaries, but something tells me I might do it more often now.
Jenn headed back home after we had a nice lunch with her grandmother and Uncle Dan. It’s been a long time since I have had an opportunity to sit and talk to someone without feeling like I needed to get up and get going. Dan will be here about two more weeks before he heads back to Rome and starts in again at school. When he is finished he will be a Papal lawyer. Sounds impressive. I’m just looking forward to being able to tell him lawyer jokes.
Little by little we will begin to tackle many of the tasks we have ahead of us. So much to do, and so much time (at least it seems that way right now).
We (the family) have enjoyed all your posts and comments. Helps us to keep focused and connected with all of you. Please keep it up.
Take care all, will post again soon.
Love
Joan

Hi Joan–Oh wow, 5am I thought that days started about 2pm–I don’t know how you all work that early!! Thanks for letting us all know how you are doing. I just can’t imagine! I know how you feel about the cemetary thing–it is hard to explain. I hope you kept the ornament sunflower that I gave to Kerrie. Sunflowers always seem to bring a smile to my face, just thinking of her. My thougts and prayers remain with you and your family! Deb Kayga
