Sunday, February 18th

Got to Kerrie’s room, around 4:30pm, yesterday and she was sleeping.. briefly opened her eyes, said, “Hi. How are you?” and then promplty went back to sleep.  So.. sat down in the chair next to her and promptly went to sleep…

Ron walked in at 5:45pm.. Kerrie opened her eyes briefly. Smiled at him.. and then promptly went back to sleep.

Mom came in, around 6:00pm, and Kerrie woke up. Sure, she’ll wake up for her!  Mom left, around 7:00pm.. and Kerrie promptly went back to sleep.

Kerrie’s friend, Donna, came in around 8:00pm.. and we couldn’t even wake Kerrie up this time. So.. Donna left, Ron left, I pulled out the fold out bed and promptly went to sleep.

A very exciting night for the Andree sisters!

Up at 5:00am today.. shouldn’t have been tired, since I had been sleeping since around 8:00pm, but stayed in bed as long as I could. Kerrie’s nurse said she was awake, on and off, all night.. I never budged. I think the only time I really get any sleep is when I’m there 🙂

Kerrie’s had a cold the last few days and was coughing and sneezing this morning. She keeps pulling the blankets up to her eyes, or up over her head, and says she feels better when her mouth is covered up. Her throat hurts, but I guess the blankets help??

She looks so darn cute.. just her eyes peeking out through the blankets.. but this does tend to make it difficult to understand what she’s saying..

“Jwenny.. cwban byou bget bme bsome bice bchips?”

“What? Kerrie, I can’t understand you. Take the blanket off your face, so I can understand what you’re saying.”

Then her eyes tear up and she covers the rest of her head with the blanket. I start laughing, because she looks so darn cute.. and then she throws the blanket off her face and says ” Get me some ice chips”… and then the blanket goes up over her face again 🙂

Makes me just want to hug her.

She may be a pain in the neck sometimes, but she sure is cute!

And, now that she and Brittany Spears have the same hairstyle, we’re thinking of trying to get a record deal. She sings better than Brittany, even in the condition she’s in right now.. so if bald heads are the in thing for musicians right now.. Kerrie’s got it made 🙂

At Mom’s, to take a shower and get some things ready for my trip tomorrow.. then back to the Hospital. Kerrie and I have a very exciting day planned.. Sleeping, watching movies and the Daytona 500. 

I’m pretty sure she’s going to uncover her head for that….
