Once again.. it’s been almost impossible for me to find two minutes to get on Kerrie’s webpage and give you an update. I had to make a choice between changing the cat litter and getting on here and Kerrie won..

She’s been doing well, according to Mom, and has started looking a lot better since Tuesday. I guess Doctor Jana saw her today and she was even surprised at how well Kerrie looked.

The results from her tests show nothing. Of course they do.. they always do.. then they talked about doing a colonoscopy, but decided against that. She’s doing better and looking better, so they changed her tube feeding, instead, to see if that helps.

Yeah.. I know.. you don’t even have to say it. I’m sure you are sitting there thinking the same thing I have been thinking, and driving my mother crazy by saying it all the time.. why didn’t they just do that in the first fricking place? But, I know they have to rule out GVHD and all that other medical mumbo jumbo stuff.

I was working last night, late as usual, and Mom called.. I answered the phone, all pissy, because I am so far behind on a project that I can’t see straight.. and it was Kerrie’s voice I heard on the other end of the line..

“Hello. How are you?”

“HI!!! I’m fine. How are YOU?”

“I’m fine. Guess what I did today?”

“What did you do today Kerrie?”

“I did the stairs.”

“YOU DID THE WHAT??????”

“I sat in a chair.”

“Oh. I thought you said you did the stairs.”
“Well, yes and no. I sat in a chair.”

I’m sitting at my desk, freaking out, trying to figure out how she could have done the stairs. What stairs? How did she do them? Are they crazy? Did they take her off the Bone Marrow Floor to the stairs down the hall? Are they out of their minds? Oh my God, she climbed stairs.”

Oh wait.. sat in a chair. That makes more sense.. but I suppose sitting in a chair for an hour and a half would have been as much work for her as climbing stairs.

Mom and a couple of the nurses got her into a chair and then pushed her around the halls for a little while. She was doing her princess wave, of course, and everyone was admiring her hair. Not much of it yet, but there is some stubble.. and she has almost half of her eyebrows now 🙂 Funny how they grow in from your nose area and work their way out to the outside part of your face. You would think they would all come in at once. I keep wanting to grab an eyebrow pencil and draw the other half in.. but I don’t think she would find that humorous at all.
They got her out of bed, again, tonight but she was not in the mood for it and let them all know it. So, a few minutes later they let her get back into bed.
From what I’ve been told, she has lots of visitors between tomorrow and Saturday so maybe that will raise her spirits a little more.

And maybe I can just sit quietly in the corner of her room and try to get this project of mine done.
I’m starting to drowned insanely with the work, have given up any thought of even starting to clean my house, and in 16 days I leave for another recruiting trip. Paris and London this time.

I know.. I should quit my complaining…

Typing posts at Midnight, and then going to start my laundry so I have somethign to wear tomorrow, will be worth it when I can bring Kerrie something awesome from France.. or would you prefer a Brit guy Kerrie 🙂

I’ll try to get a post on before Midnight tomorrow.. and I’ll see you tomorrow night Kerrie.
