Sorry I didn’t get a post on here yesterday. By the time I had a chance it was late, and I was exhausted. I figured everyone would forgive me. To make up for it, I’ve put a new video clip and some pictures in the gallery. Friday, was a busy day… Rehab, cleaning, feeding, fighting with Mom because we’re both exhausted, more feeding, watching TV with Kerrie and then everyone going to sleep. We rushed around in the morning ( or I should say Mom and Kerrie rushed around..) and then Kerrie and I were off to Rehab. Friday’s session started with Speech Therapy. Got in to Mom’s and Kerrie was still awake, which was surprising.. she stayed awake long enough to say hello, tell me she was exhausted and have Mom ask her if she was going to stay up and visit with her sister… her response? “I think no”.. and then she was asleep. Even more surprising was the fact that Mom was awake. She’d had an hour and 1/2 sleep since getting up on Wednesday morning. Was up all day Wednesday, worked all night Wednesday night… slept and hour and 1/2 Thursday morning and then I pulled her off the couch around Midnight tonight and made her go to bed. Tomorrow…

I wish I had some news to give you… I haven’t spoken to Mom or Kerrie since Monday evening!! I’m sure nothing is wrong, or I would have heard from them, but don’t they know we all wait, patiently, for information every day 🙂 My dear mother knows that by the time I have a free minute to pick up the phone and make a call that it’s usually well after 10:00pm. She and Kerrie just lounge around all day, watching movies and eating bon-bons.. I’m sure one of them could call and leave me an update on voicemail if I don’t answer. Kerrie was feeling better today, no fever and not having the pain in her back & stomache like she was having yesterday. We finally talked to someone at Henry Ford last night, but by the time I got back to Ohio it was very late and I was way too tired to try to log onto my computer. They didn’t seem overly concerned and told Mom to bring her in for her normal appointment.. unless there was some sudden change and then they wanted her brought to Henry Ford. No change.. so she went for her normal appointment this morning. Dr. Jana said the fluid draining from her Gal Bladder…

Well, the best intentions for ways to spend the day usually don’t materialize… The day started out alright, with our morning ritual of Boost and Coffee.. and then we watched another Movie. This time the movie was Happy Feet. Cute movie.. After the movie, Kerrie and I started getting cleaned up and she didn’t look right, so took her temp.. low grade temp of 99.3, but enough for me to call Mom. Was told not to worry, but to keep an eye on it. She felt pretty cruddy all day, so I didn’t make her get out of bed or any of the other things I had intended for today.…

We had a pretty decent day.. watched three movies:  Borat ( sorry Marce, Noelle, Kendall, Nate, Andre & Jes.. I thought it was very funny),  The Chronicles of Narnia and the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants ( Definately recommend this one) In between movies, we got dressed, got out of bed and ate mashed potatoes and pears. Kerrie got back into bed, later in the afternoon and.. surprisingly, didn’t fall asleep.. When Mom found out she hadn’t slept at all during the day she asked Kerrie why she hadn’t stayed out of bed then and Kerrie responded.. “Well, I was practicing getting into bed.”  I thought this was hilarious and…

Up at 4:00am…. Up at 7:00am…. I had coffee.. Kerrie had Boost. What a tasty morning treat. Then the 8:00am meds… the 9:00am meds… more Boost and then a big decision. We’re not getting dressed, and not getting out of bed, until we’ve watched Borat. We’ve attempted to do this 3 weekends in a row and it just hasn’t happened.  We’re going to watch it now… and for those of you who have seen it.. we’re prepared and know it’s more offensive than funny. After the movie, we’ll worry about the normal things we need to do today … like getting dressed and getting out of bed ( Oh no..…

Got to Mom’s a little before 11:30pm… Woke Mom up, made her get off the couch and sent her to bed.. stopped Kerrie’s IV, flushed the lines, changed her tube feeding.. and now I’m off to bed. Mom will get up at 3:00am, to get ready for work, and we’ll probably have to do a few things with Kerrie.. I’ll head back to bed, she’ll head to work and then Kerrie and I will be on our own again tomorrow. Should be an easy day.. but I have just cursed us both by saying that 🙂 She worked hard in Rehab today, so I’ll try to let her rest tomorrow..…
