Kerrie was feeling better today, no fever and not having the pain in her back & stomache like she was having yesterday.
We finally talked to someone at Henry Ford last night, but by the time I got back to Ohio it was very late and I was way too tired to try to log onto my computer. They didn’t seem overly concerned and told Mom to bring her in for her normal appointment.. unless there was some sudden change and then they wanted her brought to Henry Ford. No change.. so she went for her normal appointment this morning.
Dr. Jana said the fluid draining from her Gal Bladder was the bile they had been hoping would drain since they put the nasty, little contraption in back in January. We hadn’t seen it before, so thought it was a problem.. turns out it was what they wanted in the first place. Don’t know why it took 3 months, but obviously whatever was obstructing it before was finally letting it through. As unpleasant as it looked to us… I guess this is a good thing. She has a surgical consult, next week, about having the Gal Bladder removed so we’ll see what they say then.
For the most part, they are still very pleased with how Kerrie is doing and will be dropping her visits to every 10 days. Next week will be an exception, as some of her lab work has changed and they want to check it again.. her Billy Ruben ( something in her Liver enzymes) has gone up again, so they wan to check that next week. Otherwise, she’ll only be going to see them about every 10 days.
She has her MRI scheduled for 3 weeks from now.. and still has the bone marrow biopsy coming up, but don’t know when this is. They’ve cut back on some of her meds, again, and told her she can start taking her bariatric vitamins again.. so these are all good signs.
The weather was nice today so, after they got back from Henry Ford, Mom and Kerrie took a little stroll outside. Hope she enjoyed it.. the weather looks like it’s going to get cruddy again for a little while.
Tomorrow is another day at Rehab.. I’ll be interested to hear what they have her do this time!
More tomorrow…. need to go catch up on some of my missing sleep.

Hi – just got the latest update from Kit and Mark on Saturday when we went to see Erin’s last play. We had been hearing off and on of these nasty things happening, and are so very sorry to hear of all the suffering in your family. Kit sent me the address – so I wanted to say we are keeping all of you in our prayers and happy to hear some better news in this last report I just read. We will try and keep in touch and trust in God’s will. Try to enjoy this wonderful Spring when it is possible – like today was a great day. I took my grandson for a walk, and he just wanted to keep on – only I did not want to have to carry him home! I have him for a couple of days a week usually. He will be 4 in May. Marie Saukko says HI also.
