Kerrie has been moved back to the Bone Marrow Unit on P2!!!!!!!!!!!! She wasn’t really happy with having to move from a bed, to a stretcher, to a bed but I think she is just as happy as we are that she is back on her old floor. She kept trying to help everyone move her to the stretcher and they finally had to tell her to just lay there and stop trying to help 🙂
She’s pretty tired from being poked, prodded, pulled and lifted… but we feel so much better knowing she is here and it will be much easier for us to stay with her 24/7.
She scared the heck out of us earlier… we had gone to get dinner, knowing she was in good hands, and when we came back her pupils were very dialated. My heart sank and mom went to get a flashlight and a nurse.. only to find out that opthamology had been here while we were gone and dialated her pupils. Thank God!!
As I have said before.. she’s still in danger, and still has to deal with all the problems normally associated with the bone marrow transplant, but at least she is not in ICU any longer and we can all breath just a little bit easier.
Still no word on whether she should have visitors outside of the immediate family, but we will let you know.
I’m off to spend the night sleeping next to my sister… and maybe get some actually sleep for a little while.
Hopefully more good news tomorrow! We’ll keep updating as much as we can.. but if you don’t see a post for a while be sure to check the gallery for updates from our family.
We love you all!
Joan, Steve, Ron, Jenn… and Kerrie
P.S. Her address at the hospital is the same, but room number is now P253

Hey Kerrie,
Still thinking of you. I have been watching and checking everyday to see how you are doing. Ron sent me a e-mail to remind me that if it wasn’t for him that I wouldn’t have any steam to move that train. lol. Well, I will pray for you some more and I am waiting for the whistle to get that train a movin.

Kerrie! I’m so happy to hear this good news, I’m glad your back in your old room. I was just thinking about your collection of wigs that I saw last time, and I might have to send you another one I found. It’s flaming red, it could be your new color. Keep fighting, your the best!
Love,
