Teena … Janaury 16th

Got to spend some time with Teena and she seems like she is doing better. Speech is much clearer, but she still gets confused about some of the things she is saying. Not always sure what she is talking about. Her personality is definitly still there… and I was sure of that when I told her I was going to have her put on a dress, heels and jewelry and she asked if she could slap me 🙂

She has great movement of hands and arms ( though a little slow), but the legs are giving her some trouble. It hurts her when they bend her knees, but I guess it’s a good sign that she can feel it. She can’t move them on her own, but I think that will come. She is starting physical therapy this week, so I am sure we will see some improvement by the end of the week.

Becky and Tommy had to head back to Ohio to take care of some things, but she’s not alone. We are here with her and her brother may be coming in for the week.

Teena really needs her rest, so Becky has asked the hospital to limit the number of visitors and the visiting hours. She is only allowed visitors between 3:00pm and 7:00pm.  

 She was exhausted yesterday, but wouldn’t sleep because she told us she was afraid she was going to miss something going on! Yeah Teena.. we were having a wild party in your room :)  She’ll be even more tired once she starts the physical therapy.

People have asked about flowers yet… Not yet. She is still in the Critical Intensive Care Unit. No flowers allowed in there.

Becky has asked the hospital to not allow visitors on Monday ( today), so I won’t get to see her until tomorrow. I will update then.
