Teena – January 12th

I wasn’t able to see Teena last night, but have been told she is doing alright. Fuat and I got to the hospital about 7:00pm, and Becky, Tommy, Mike ( Teena’s brother) and Mikey ( Teena’s nephew) were sitting in the waiting room. Teena was getting a drain put in, to relieve the pressure on her brain, and they had told Becky it would take about an hour.  This started at 5:00pm and wasn’t done yet by the time we go there at 7:00pm.

We had to leave around 8:30, and she still wasn’t finished, but we got a text from Tommy sometime around 9:00pm saying she was done and they had gotten to see her for a few minutes. Got another text this morning saying a better drain was being put in and they are still hoping to take out the breathing tube today.

Now we are just waiting for more information and hoping she will start being alert soon. I’ve been told they have taken her off the sedation, so she won’t be sleeping all the time… praying for some good responses from her once she is alert enough to really be able to respond.

Will post more information as I get it, or will send to Mom and ask her to post.
