A Small Hello

Hi everyone,

Mom promised I would make an appearance here, so I did not want to dissapoint. Sitting at the table is NOT an easy thing to do… but you are worth it ( and it gives me a great excuse to take one of those fun little pain pills 🙂 )

For the most part, I am feeling ok. Having a large amount of abdominal pain, but nurse Joan keeps telling me that will go away and I should feel ok by next week. We shall see 🙂

Mom and my darling Fuat have been fantastic about taking care of me ( and Teena has been fantastic about taking care of them 🙂 )… I run them both ragged with calls for water, pain pills, remote controls, trips to the bathroom… poor Fuat can barely sleep sometimes and mom runs around all day. Hmm… once they find out I faked the whole thing, for the chance at a summer vacation, I hope they won’t be mad 🙂

Thank you to everyone for the messages, cards, letters, flowers and prayers. It makes me rest easier to know there are so many people looking out for me and my family and you are all appreciated so much.

As Mom said, Dr. appoinment on Wednesday will let us know what the pathology reports show ( we are hoping the Dr. is correct and this is stage I ) and then we’ll find out what kind of a chemo program I am looking at.

Until then.. I think I will continue to lay on the couch, take naps, run mom and Fuat in circles.. and hope this pain goes away. If anyone knows where I can find a little bell please let me know.. my fingers are getting tired from the constant snapping 🙂

Hey there ! Glad you’ve got such good caretakers. Thought about you last night when trying to convince some friends that we all need to go to Cedar Point. Wishing here for a good report from the doctor. Take care.

Glad to hear from you Jenn! You always were a strong woman….stay strong! Checking in on you via KAST just about daily. And about the summer vacation…if anyone deserves one, it’s you! Hopefully things heal up quickly & chemo isn’t so bad for you & you can sit back and RELAX for once…we all know how hard you work. Take care of yourself!

Jenn – Perhaps they would react to 2 claps for Fuat and 3 claps for your Mom? Just like a clapper? or try a whistle (like in the Sound of Music)? I see where you get your wonderful sense of humour from. Glad to hear all is progressing well. I am sure your Mom is taking good care of you when your husband cannot (he has to sleep sometime!). She is wonderful. We continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Betsy

    Hi Jenn,
It’s Mon. am in “rainy Calif.”) Our sun has moved somewhere else! Art and I are packing for a trip to Libby Montana to deliver a horse trailer to Amy and Glen. They had us buy it during their last year’s deployment to Iraq. We will be staying 2 weeks. We’re looking forward to their weather as they’ve had a milder winter than we have! They have you in their thoughts too. Ed and Peg in Arizona are pullin for your speedy recovery as well. So you’re pretty much covered with prayers from the western U.S.! We’ll check in on you from MT. Good work Nurse Joanie!! Love you all. Kerry& Art

    Hi Jenn,
Great to hear from you. Here you are the sick one, yet you share your sense of humor to make the rest of us smile! We continue to pray for a speedy recovery. I also give a word of thanks to God for placing such capable angels around you (aunt Joan and Fuat). Continue to heal, you’ll be on your way before you know it, then this will be a chapter in your book of liffe that you visit on occasion. Take care. Love, Pat
