Hi everyone,

I apologize for the delay in putting on updates. It’s been a rough week for Kerrie and there has been a lot happening.

For the past several days Kerrie has had it pretty rough. Pretty much everything they warned us would happen has been happening. High fevers, not feeling well, being in a lot of pain, etc.  She’s feeling pretty “down in the dumps”, but we are doing what we can to keep her spirits up.

Right now there isn’t much else to tell. The doctors are doing all kinds of testing, trying to ease her pain and generally giving her every type of medication they can possibly hook up to that IV cart.

Mom and I have been with her, and one of us is with her almost round the clock.

On a funny note: Those meds she’s on are still giving us some silly moments. Mom said that while the nurses were doing her morning vitals, yesterday, Kerrie pushed back her blankets and tried to get out of bed. Ethel, her nurse, asked her where she was going and Kerrie said, “I have to get up. I’m going to be late for school.” Ethel had her get back into bed, covered her up and told her school had been cancelled and she could go back to sleep. Yeah!! Kerrie got a snow day!

That’s all for now. We’ll keep you posted on her!
