A DAY TO GIVE THANKS

Hello Friends and Family,

Thanksgiving Day 2007. Where did the last year go? Hard to believe what we were doing just a year ago. It doesn’t seem possible that the seasons have passed so quickly. Today I drove to work very early in the dark, with the snow swirling around my car. Later in the morning I talked to Jenn in VA. She said she was sitting in her kitchen with the windows open letting the nice fresh air in. Must be nice……. maybe someday.

I really tried to think today of all the things I am thankful for. Some days seems bleak and dreary, and I can’t think of one, but when I really try I realize how blessed I am.

I am so thankful for my loving son and daughter, daughter in law and grandchildren. Nothing in this world is more important to me than them.

I am thankful for all my family, for their love and support and caring. For all their kind words and kind deeds. For all the times they were there to help, to hold, to share.

I am thankful for all of Kerrie’s (and my) friends. For all the strength they have given me over the past year and for all the love they have shown Kerrie which has filled me with gratitude for them.

I am thankful for this website, for the opportunity to share with you and have you share with us. For the way it has brought so many people together and helped old friends reconnect.

I am thankful for all the wonderful memories I have of family, friends, old times and not so old times.

I am thankful for the wonderful dinner and fellowship I experienced tonight as I shared in the Thanksgiving meal with Mom Andree and Fr. John.

I am thankful for all the people I have met this past year, the doctors, nurses, caregivers, therapists, social workers; everyone who tried to help ease Kerrie’s pain, both physical and emotional. And who helped to ease our pain as well.

I could go on for a long time, but I think it’s your turn to share. I would really like to know what you are thankful for. Here or the gallery. Let us know.

We go from this day right in to the next weeks of holiday time. What a gift we can give  sharing our blessings with each other. Take care all, looking forward to seeing what you have to say.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

LOVE

Joan and all
