Dear Family and Friends,
Despite all valiant efforts of the Health Care Team, and the endless fighting and determination on Kerrie’s part, the battle is not going in our favor.
After discussions with the Team and Kerrie, it is felt that to continue to fight will only prolong things and there is little/no hope that Kerrie would ever recover. We are fighting against the inevitable. Kerrie is tired… tired of fighting.. tired of being in pain… she doesn’t want to quit, but it’ really no longer a choice. Kerrie’s decision is to stop fighting and that’s what has been done. She is being kept comfortable, and can have her precious dilauded whenever she asks for it.. no more waiting until it’s “time” for the next dose.
We are waiting for hospice to come to talk to us regarding options. Kerrie had once said she did not want to die in a hospital, she wanted to be home, but that was long before HFH became our home away from home. She will be included in this discussion today as well.
We would like to ask that those of you who read this contact anyone you think might not have seen it. We are asking that you keep calls to a mimimum as it is difficult for us to talk to everyone. Kerrie is really not up to a lot of visitors, we are calling immediate family (dad, brother, etc.). If it is possible for others to come we will let you know.Â
Keep us all, and especially Kerrie, in your thoughts and prayers today. Wish her comfort and peace and all the rewards that she deserves.
Thanks for everything,
Love
Joan and Jennifer and Kerrie

It will be very hard to keep the train moving without my train girl tooting the whistle but, I will try to keep it between the rails.
Kerrie I will keep you and your family in my prayers and hopefully someday I will be able to come and talk with Jen about old times on the railroad.
Love,
Engineer Ken

Just want to say that that I BELIEVE that Kerrie isn’t “giving up” but rather giving into God’s plan for our angel. Now instead of being here on earth with us (altho she’ll always be in our hearts)she’s up above keeping tabs on us. I LOVE YOU.
Captain Erik

Dear Joan, Jen, and dear Kerrie,
Our prayers are with you all today. We will be thinking of you every hour. If we can help, please call. There is no right way to do this. Just try to stay close, rest, stay nourished, hold Kerrie as much as possible. Don’t let anything get in the way of taking turns being near her. Don’t do visitors. Just family. Savor this amazing time…..don’t work….don’t talk to anyone you don’t wish to talk to….just be….in peace and love….savor the beautiful moments. We love you!
The Minnebo Family
Kerrie, and all the Andree family, you all are and have been in our prayers and thoughts.
Remember, As one journey ends another one begins.

Kerrie & family–I pray you are finding “Peace in the Vally”
Letting go of someone we love on this earth is never easy but when there
is so much pain and loss of quality of life–the unselfish true love we have comes through
and we entrust them to THE ONE who loves them even more than we do.
Praying God gives you every kind of strength needed and guides every moment
you share with those who love Kerrie the most. Thank you for keeping so uptodate
on Kerrie. Your deep, personal sharing is very challenging and healing.
God bless each of you. Continued Prayers, Geri
