It’s a little after midnight.. so happy 07/07/07 everyone!

After a long week of work, and a long drive, made it to Mom’s at a little before 11:00pm. Was expecting to find Kerrie asleep, but she was out of bed and watching tv when I walked in.

“Is our mother torturing you?”

“Is our mother torturing me???”

“Yeah.. it’s almost 11:00pm and she has you out of bed. Is she torturing you?”

“HAAA… Noo.”

I walk out to the car, to get my other suitcase, walk back in the house.. and Kerrie’s folding towels.

“OH MY GOD! She gets you out bed, late at night, and makes you fold laundry????? She IS torturing you. Either that, or I’m going to have to start calling you Cinderella.”

Mom  claims that folding the laundry is good physical therapy for her. Ummm… MmHhhh.. Yeah… right. Keep trying that one Mom….

Kerrie looks pretty good today. Not as jaundice as when I left last week. I guess her blood counts were up today, which was good.. and her billy rubin was down.. which was good… she got platellets.. which is.. well, not good.. but I guess her platellets were OK, but the doctor wanted to make sure she’d be good to go for the weekend.

Got the 9:00pm meds done around 11:50… tube feeding running.. gall bladder drain emptied… sister tucked in with fuzzy socks and warm blankets.. Mom’s in bed and now it’s my turn. Almost 1:00am. Might get an hour, or so, of sleep before Kerrie wakes up and needs something.. or before Mom gets up to get ready for work. She went to bed a little after midnight and has to be up at 3:00am.. hope she’s sleeping. Otherwise, will be an extremely long day at work for her.
