Day Two of the second round of chemo is now over… this one looks like it is definately going to hit Kerrie harder than the first one did. By the end of her first day she was beginning to feel the effects.. generally not feeling well and being very tired.

Mom said that it was hitting her harder today.. not sure how much detail I should give about the side effects she is having, but suffice it to say she is pretty miserable. I hear they’re are giving her lots of medication, to ease her way through it, so hopefully they are giving her some “really good stuff”.

Most of today seems to have been spent sleeping, trying to sleep, thinking about sleep and then hopefuly sleeping again.

She has a new doctor that has joined the team and Mom said he comes in to her room every morning and starts out by telling her a joke.

Today, Mom and Kerrie were looking through a joke book to see if they could find a good one, so that when he comes in tomorrow she can beat him to the punch line ( pun intended).

I think she should tell him a funny store I recently read :

A woman is going in to the hospital, for surgery, and is afraid the doctors will operate on the wrong things. To make sure they don’t make any mistakes she puts Post-it Notes all over her body with sayings like “not here”, “Nope.. not this area”, “Not here either”, “Operate here”, etc. When she wakes up she sees the doctor has left a Post-it Note on her that says ” Has anyone seen my watch?”

(OK.. well maybe I’m the only one who thinks that’s funny.. but it’s the first thing to make me laugh in the last two months!)
