Friday, March 9 # 2

Hello Everyone,

Finally found again out how to put a post on the Blog………..and I am so happy to put this one on.

 

Kerrie and I had quite an evening……thought about staying home and doing some more work around the house, but decided that I needed to go in to see Ker and get her up again….we are working on endurance and spending more time out of bed. Also working on my ability to get her up and put her back to bed. Not as easy as it sounds, but I am doing better and Kerrie is gaining more confidence in my ability to do it.

 

So, I go in……”Kerrie, do you want to get up?” I know better than to ask, but I did it.  Surprise! She says, “YES”. So, up we get, now this is after 3 (I mean three) nurses spend ???? minutes trying to figure out how to put her ‘gait’ belt on the right way. Kerrie got put out with us and put her head on her hand like she was totally bored. We finally decided it was OK and up we went (Kerrie that is).

 

So, do we take a stroll ( in the wheelchair) around the department?…..Do we go to the waiting room and look out the window? (Hey it’s dark out) or do we……….go to Family Birth Center and say HI! to the gang?

 

We get on the elevator and down we go and out and around and in and “HI EVERBODY!”

What a time, hugs and laughs and “Hi, how are you?” and “Kerrie, get over here, there are orders to be put in the computer!” and “Kerrie, we miss you!” and “Kerrie, when are you coming back to work?”

 

After we had made the rounds I asked Ker how she felt, and she said, “It feels pretty damn good!”

And I feel pretty damn good……….. Thank you Lord, she’s back………she’s thinking, and talking and laughing and making jokes!
