What a surprise I got when I read through the comments, on the blog about the fall in the shower, and saw a comment from KERRIE!  I have it on good authority that she had some help typing it, but that she typed her name by herself.

Kerrie announced to Mom today that she wanted to get out of her hospital room, so Mom got her in the wheelchair and they went for a walk.. found a secret corner of the hospital, where there was a computer just sitting there, and decided to check out the web page ( Sorry.. can’t give away the secret location).

Mom’s so excited, telling me about the two of them using the computer, and I’m being me…. of course… and asking why she let her use a computer that a bunch of other people had used? I don’t even let Kerrie touch my laptop, after I’ve used it, without disinfecting it… And.. why am I always the one to be the first person to think of sterilizing things, germs, etc..??? I’m not the one working in the health care industry.  Even though I just couldn’t resist being the one to ask these questions I am happy that Kerrie wanted to leave her room and that she could get on a computer for a few minutes. One thing that will be nice about her being at home is the constant access to her web page and the internet. There were days, at Henry Ford, where you couldn’t get her off the computer.. no access for her at NOMC ( Until they found the secret location today 🙂 )

I think I am going to by them a portable container of disinfectant wipes , just incase they find any other secret locations Mom wants to let Kerrie put her hands all over. 🙂

It looks like Kerrie may get a few more days in Rehab. Mom doesn’t have official word on it yet.. but promised to call me first thing tomorrow and let me know what’s going on.  The sooner we know the better..

I’m either going home tomorrow night, Friday night, next week, a week ago, a month from now.. all depending on what’s going on with her leaving Rehab ( well, I probably won’t wait a month to go home 🙂 )  Mom, the sooner you can let me know the better.. and the sooner I can let everyone else know.
