Friday, August 18th
It’s been a long week of waiting for an answer. Kerrie had her bone marrow biopsy, on Tuesday morning, and was told we may have the results as early as today.
Friday has come, and almost gone, and we are still awaiting the answers we are hoping for. Her doctor has told her the preliminary tests look good, but they are still waiting on the chromosome test and a few other test results before they can determine if she has gone into remission.
I keep telling her that she needs to tell Dr. Jana that I am a very impatient person and that I am waiting for an answer.. but she doesn’t seem to think this will speed things up 🙂
She keeps telling me to be patient and I guess she’s right. All we can do is continue to wait
Perhaps we will have some good news in a day or two. Until then Kerrie continues to enjoy.. err.. I mean tolerate… her stay at the country club..

Hi, girlfriend, how are you holding up? I know you’re doing the best you can. Try to make lemonade out of those awful lemons you’ve been dealt. Easy to say, I know. Just told wrote your mom that there is are a lot of folks on her mailing list that have a real interest in you and are pouring lots of love your way.
Was very nice to hear your voice a week or so ago. I’m trying so hard to visualize what you look like and how you’ve changed, and I mean in general. Gosh, when I look in the mirror anymore I have to give some thought as to who’s staring back at me. I’ll be 69 in a couple of months. Went to my 50th last October. Where does it go!!
Your mom’s update about you on 8/13 was good to read. She writes a nice letter. And I’m looking forward to the next one. Are you still in the hospital; or have you been able to stay with mom? Hope you can get a change of scenery. I think of you often, Kerrie, and pray for you, as we all do, and have included you on our church prayer list. Bless you. I’ll try to send you a note once in a while.
Love, Bob
