Still at work, have just gotten off the phone with Ron, and not a lot to tell about Kerrie right now.

From what Ron said, she’s still been pretty snowed by her pain meds today and has just been out of it. They have removed the pain patch, on her arm, and will go back to giving her oral pain meds. Unfortunately, the medicine in the patch builds up in your system, so it may be a few days before all the effects of this wear off.  Good thing is that she may be more alert once it wears off.. bad thing.. today is DAY 2 of her three day evaluation.

We have also just found out that our Grandmother fell this past Sunday, was taken to the hospital with a broken Sternum and has just been moved to a Rehab Center herself. She’ll be there for at least the net 10 days and will then need to get Rehab, at home, until she can care for herself again. Aunt Jeannine, We are very grateful that you let us know about this. Thank you!

If Kerrie isn’t able to stay at NOMC, maybe we can get her a room next to Grandma! I’m sure Kerrie wouldn’t be sent to the same place, but we can dream!

I wasn’t able to talk to Mom when I called.. She was busy talking with the nurses.. Ron said she is pretty wiped out and looks exhausted. Mom asked Ron to tell me that if she doesn’t call me later tonight that she will call sometime tomorrow.

If I hear from her tonight I will put an update on.. if not, I will be sure to post as soon as I hear from her tomorrow.

Come on Kerrie… we need you alert, awake and able to do PT. I don’t want to say the pressure is on.. but it is.
