Hello from Henry Ford Hospital!!!!

Once again I am sitting here is Ker’s room watching her snooze. She just had some RX and is enjoying the chemical relaxation for a bit.

Got here just in time to meet with several physicians. It’s been decided that even tho Kerrie’s enzyme and bilirubin levels are going down, that she needs to have a tube put in the gall bladder to drain out the fluid that the doctors think is infected and causing a lot of her problems. So, tonight she gets another Ultrasound to check things out one more time, and then …platelets…. platelets….. platelets…… because her count isn’t high enough to do anything, even something simple (platelets are related to bleeding, too low and you bruise and bleed easily). If everything meets the approval of the doctor who will be doing the procedure she will probably have it done tomorrow. We are getting to know the people in Interventional Radiology almost as good as we know the staff here on P-2. Guess that means we’ve been here too long.

Other than this little item, life here at HFH just goes on….. We eat, sleep, watch TV shows, Judge Shows, the Maury show (which of these 10 guys is the father of my baby????? Boo Hoo), reruns of everything ever on television, and on and on.

Jenn will be back late tomorrow night, Kerrie is really happy about her coming home, except she said..”Yeah, she’ll be in at 11 and I’ll be asleep” and she kind of rolled her eyes. So Jenn, wake her up when you get in. J

B-Day minus 2…. Counting down to the birthday day on Wednesday. Ker says no cake, but what’s a birthday without a cake? Even if you don’t eat any, everybody else can. Yumm!

Well, if I don’t post again, I’m sure Jenn will update as soon as she gets back, and who knows, I just might have time to get one more in before her return. And by the way, for those who have asked….yes, Kerrie can have visitors, same ole, same ole. 2 at a time, no colds, fresh vaccines, etc. and if you are planning to come in the near day or so, might want to call me first just in case she’s out of the room getting her procedure done.

Take care everyone
Keep them prayers and thoughts comin!!!

Joan

Hi to Joan, Jenn and Kerrie
I am sending all my positive thoughts and prayers to you all. I hate that you are getting poked again Kerrie. Hope it goes as well as it can, to drain a gall bladder, did not know our gall bladders could be drained. Medicine is amazing.
    Stay strong and positive.
Thanks so much for staying in touch.
