Home Alone

Well, Mom’s gone home… My wonderful husband is at work and I’m home alone with the cat.

Tried to do too much yesterday… and exhausted myself, so today trying to take it easy. I really didn’t do all that much, but guess it was too much for the current state of my body. I dusted the living room, swiffered the floor in the living room, dining room and front hallway and then used a wet swiffer on the floor in the living room, dining room and hallway.. then a load of laundry. Not much at all… but felt like I had been hit by a truck.

 Wish I could have gotten some pictures of me trying to dust the bottom of the end tables.. with my feet…. but I guess that vision will end up just being between me and the cat. Things like that will have to wait until I can bend down or until my sweetheart can get to them 🙂

Fuat has been fantastic, as always, but even more so now that mom is gone.. he really is trying so hard to take good care of me and make sure I don’t over do it…. And I think Mom and I have rubbed off on him a bit… as he has started making lists of things he wants to get done around the house. My theory is if it isn’t written on a list it doesn’t get done :)   so I was thrilled when he showed me the list of projects he had written up. I love you honey and I love that you have started making lists 🙂

Here’s a quick update on the chemo. Fuat and I will go to the hospital at 6:00am Thursday morning, the port will be placed in my chest at 7:30am… Chemo should begin around 9:00am.  I’ll be sedated to have the port put in, so will probably sleep through most of my first day of chemo. They said it will take about 7 -9 hours on the first day, so I am sure I will  be able to stay awake for some of it. Otherwise, those poor other women who are in the same room with me will have to deal with my snoring. Sorry ladies…

We’ll let you know how things go this week…. and I promise I won’t try to do too much again. My plan for today it to answer emails, sort some other mail and maybe load a few  cups in the dishwasher. Then…. time for another nap 🙂
