Thursday, November 10th 6:30am (oops.. it’s the 9th)

Good Morning…

Shane, I saw your comment… wish I could tell you that I was able to sleep in this morning, but I have a project due at work… the budget..you remember how much fun that is right?.. and it was due, oh sometime this week, so I have until tomorrow to get it done. Today will be my first opportunity to take a look at it, so today and tomorrow are going to be long days. At least I am hoping and praying they are going to be long days… Mom called me at 6:20am…

Kerrie has had a change and Mom has been sitting with her all night.

Sometime last night Mom noticed Kerrie was breathing very fast and heavy and her heart rate was up pretty high… the doctors came in to look at her, not sure what they did, but Mom sat with her all night and fought over whether or not to call me and tell me to come back.

If something was happening ( can’t even bring myself to say the words of what would happen) I am too far away to be able to make it in time and she didn’t want me to drive up in the middle of the night if it wasn’t necessary.

They gave her some additional pain meds, sometime in the middle of the night, and her heart rate, etc. calmed down. Right now she is about the same as she was yesterday.

Mom’s going to call me after the doctors make their rounds this morning, but she has told me I should have my stuff packed, have my cat taken care of, etc. before I leave for work… and be prepared to come back.

Right now I am praying it’s going to be an uneventful day of ripping my hair out while I try to do my 2007 budget in 2 days and there will be no fast trips back to Michigan..

I’ve made the 3 1/2 hour drive in 2 hours 45 minutes, but if things happen quickly I still wouldn’t make it in time but you can bet I will try.

Today is the anniversary of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald, in Lake Superior, and the radio stations always play the song that was written about it. I want to say the song was written by Cat Stevens, but can’t remember right now… if you live in the Great Lakes Area you are probably familiar with this.. if not, you may know the song anyway. Kerrie loves this song and would always cry, every November 10th, when she heard it on the radio. If you happen to hear this song today think of Kerrie.

Well, even if you don’t hear that song today think of Kerrie.

And pray that the worst thing that happens today is that I rip out a little too much hair!

I will post again after I hear from Mom.

Jenn

My wonderful Aunt Michelle has just notified me that today is November 9th.. not the 10th. OK.. well, if I can tell you what day it is I am doing pretty good… Oops

You’re right.. don’t know where I came up with Cat Stevens, but I am still working on my first cup of coffee, so I have an excuse. As for balding.. If I rip out too much hair I can always borrow some of Kerrie’s hats and wigs 🙂

    Dear Jenn,

Stop pulling your hair out! Look at last year’s budget and repeat it, hiking here, cutting back there so that everything looks balanced. And if you are wrong? Geez, it worked last year, didn’t it? CP, etc survived…

This was not helpful, was it?

    I hate budgets!

    Just ask Jack.

When he insisted on one early in our marriage. I asked him, “Will you be as happy knowing where our money is going as you are right now being totally oblivious?” When he couldn’t answer, I threw the budget stuff out the window (actually, it’s in a pile in the study somewhere…) We are very happy.

I use the God budget. Before I buy, I pray. It works for me.

I doubt your bosses would agree, so back to work and know that you are loved. Hold Kerrie close, as you always do. She is in my prayers constantly.

    All will be well.

    Love,

    Aunt Mary Jo

    Jenn,

Good advise from your Aunts Michelle and Mary Jo. I sometimes DO the same… maybe raise some areas up a little. Works for me! TAKE CARE of yourself. ALL of you are in my thoughts and prayers daily!

When you do return to MI …… drive carefully and safely! God bless you!

    Love,
    Aunt Louise
