Kerrie is fighting as best she can. I don’t know what to tell, because it changes so much. CT scans, MRI and Angiogram show the infection in her brain is spreading, the blood clot appears to have gotten larger and it appears she has had a stroke. Most of the time she is not coherent.. she did respond to her niece Robyn, her nephew TJ and her friend Sandy Bliss and was able to say hello to them and tell them she loved them. Before they made us leave the room this morning she we were able to get some response from her. She knew we were there, knew we had to leave the room and was able to tell us she loved us.
She is fighting so hard and we have been with her every minute, except occasional times they make us leave the room. One of us has stayed with her nightly.
I love my little sister. I love her. She is the best sister anyone could ever hope to have. I hope I can make her understand this. I am trying.

Joan & Family,
Please know that your friends are thinking about you and have you and Kerrie in our hearts and prayers. Try to remain strong, allow yourself the tears (sometimes that is all that helps)and use everyone who cares about to help-even if it’s just a little. My heart goes out to you, Joan, as a mom- we never stop caring for our “babies”. Kerrie is truly blessed to have such an out-pouring of love and support. I know this comforts her.

Dear Kerrie, Jenn, Ron, Joan and Steve,
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I have sent out an update on Kerrie to all my prayers warriors and they are sending it on to their Church and prayer warriors. I had a call from a friend in New Zealand that she is praying for Kerrie and has New Zealand praying. Heaven is being stormed with prayers. You all are being supported by prayers. God in in control.
Love to all,
Rosie

Joan, Jenn and the rest of the family, I’ve hesitated to post because I haven’t a clue of what to say. But that is no reason, no excuse. I finally found Kerrie and mended our past (neither of us could remember what happened or why) but I’m so glad I did. There is a reason for everything. Please know I love Kerrie, always have, she and I were a little off in our own world in school and fit together nicely. I wish I could do something besides pray, I wish I could be there with you to help in whatever I could do, she and all of you are in my thoughts. I’m sure you hear that so often, but we all mean it. Kerrie is so special in so many ways to so many people and you as her family were her quiding force. We all have a goal and lesson to learn in this life and maybe Kerrie is the one teaching it to us. She’s strong, I remember quite well. All my love, thoughts and prayers. God is good and will take care of her.

I received a call this morning on my cell phone which I generally only use for emergencies. I am still shaking even though the call had nothing to do with Kerrie. All of us who love Kerrie are keeping her and everyone else who is concerned in our prayers. PRAYER IS POWERFUL! And I know there are lessons to be learned in every thing that happens to us and those we love. Jack and I know the trauma of watching our child suffer, preparing for the worse, then living a life of gratitude for the life spared and the hopes realized through prayer. This is my prayer for Kerrie, Jenn, Ron, Steve and Joan right now. We prayed the Our Father at Jno’s request at his bedside when it looked like all was lost. I remember the moment when I prayed with total acceptance of whatever was coming our way. Jno is alive and well…thriving now! Keep the faith and know that you are not alone in your suffereing.
So much love for all of you!

My heart aches when I think about what you and your family is facing. But love’s power is great and I believe the strength of your love and faith in God can accomplish miracles. Please know that you’re being thought of by more family and friends than you can imagine. And more prayers are with you than you could ever dream.

I can only imagine the frustration you must be feeling of wanting to make everything better like an older brother does and yet not being able to do anything to help. Kerrie knows you’re right there with her fighting every step of the way. She can feel the love and protection of her big brother and loves you too. Be strong and BELIEVE.
Love You,
Aunt Michelle

All my prayers and best to such a wonderful family. Kerrie will win this fight. And Jen I have never met you, but I would be lucky to have such a sister as you. You need to believe that Kerrie is feeling like she could comfort you now! I need Kerrie to go through the nursing program with. She is so smart and driven to get this nursing thing going. I am not going to stop praying. Stay positive and patient with her body. Please whisper to Kerrie that Marcie really looks forward to clinicals with her. Thanks
Shane
Jenn,
I don’t recall EVER questioning the love and closeness you and Kerrie share. Although I haven’t hung out with the both of you together in quite a long time, I know for a fact that I always revered you and Kerrie’s relationship not only as loving sisters, but as loving friends as well. There is no question about it…. she KNOWS how much you care.
Kerrie,
Somehow I know that through all of this, as sweet as you are, you probably don’t want anyone to worry. Well, too bad kiddo… I’m worried about it. But you have to keep fighting and do your best to harbor the love and prayers sent your way. From what I’ve been reading here, several parts of America are praying for you, heck, even parts of the world! Love you much!
To the entire family of Kerrie,
I’m amazed at your bravery. I also am thankful to all of you for keeping us, who can not be there so well informed. Stay strong.
Love to all,
Shane

To whom it may concern:
Please tell Keri that my name is Ken Brundage and I use to work with her in 92′ and 93′ at CP Railroad. Michelle Burgett gave me the web address and I was sad to her what is going on with Keri. Please tell her I was the shy kid back then who dated Rose one of the train girls in 93′. Please Please get this to her I know that she might not remember me but, I am praying for her. She might even remeber the crew party in 93′ where I got drunk and fell asleep in the closet. LOL.
Thanks,
Ken Brundage

Dear Kerrie,
You are in my thoughts and prayers. I keep praying and asking God not to take you away from us. I am looking forward to seeing you become an ugne at work and go through the nursing program. I know that you would make a great nurse. I was remembering when you were training that girl at work who was so nervous that she went into the bathroom and threw up on herself and came back out to the desk with vomit on her shirt. I remember laughing with you about it but what I remember mostly is that you were really nice to her and treated her fairly. I miss you’re contagious laugh and talking about hot guys! Hang in there friend, you have so many pulling for you.
