It’s that time of year again….

Hello Kast Family,

Well, it’s July again and an overly warm and dry July too. It was that way five years ago also. It will be five years on July 27 since Kerrie left us and the day of her funeral was much like it is here now. These five years have gone by very slowly and also very fast. There are days when I still can’t believe it’s real and others when I know it is.

Jenn and Fuat are coming here next week and as a family with Ron (and possibly his family) we will go to the cemetery to sit awhile and think of and remember Kerrie.

This coming Sunday the support group that I attend will be having “A Walk to Remember”. We will be doing this in conjunction and at the same time as the participants at the national conference in CA will be doing their walk. It seems so ironic to me that I can give Kerrie this tribute at this time and in such a special way. This has turned in to a big event with over one hundred participants. It should be a very moving experience. We will be wearing or carrying pictures of our children and at the same time another parent out in CA will be carrying a list with Kerrie’s name on it.

Jenn has a video of a presentation she gave that she plans to post on the website and on Facebook once she has it edited. I haven’t seen it yet myself but am waiting to do so. I won’t tell you about it. I’ll let the video itself tell it’s story.
