A Few Quick Updates

Hi everyone,

Things have been busy as usual, but wanted to give a few quick updates on me and on Teena!

Teena left the rehab hospital, in Ohio, and is now staying with her daughter and son-in-law. The address I listed here, for cards, is their address so you can still use this one if you want to send her things. She has use of her cell phone now, so if you have her number feel free to give her a call or text. When I spoke with her the other day she sounded fantastic.. though she did tell me she’d had a beer. TEENA…. NO BEER. Even if you feel great. Nurse Mom was not happy when I told her you had a beer. Brain Recovery = NO BEER! GOT IT?!?!?!?!  I am sure you don’t want me to tell your nuerologist you had a beer :):):)

Otherwise she sounded great and it looks like recovery is going well. Fuat and I are hoping to visit her sometime soon.

Teena, if you have been able to make it back to this site please gives us a post and a quick update on you.

 As for me, third visit to the oncologist went well… and he said it was ok to have the chemo port taken out of my chest, so we had the port removed on Friday. YEAH! Mom is here, for the weekend, so she was able to be here for it as well. So far, so good and let’s hope I never have to put them darn thing back in. Now if I can just get over my fatigue ( Dr. said that could take up to a year) and get over the arthritic problems I am having after stopping the sterioids then I would be perfect!  Here’s hoping that these last two things are taken care of and life can be normal again 🙂

Mom will be here until Monday and then on Wednesday Fuat and I leave for Turkey and Jordan…..Well, maybe Jordan. We’ll see what’s happening over there. If not, perhaps we’ll go to Egypt instead :):):)
