Phone rings at 9:15am and it’s Mom.. “Am I catching you at a bad time?”

Hmm.. let me see. I work at an Amusement Park. It’s May. We open in a few weeks. Umm.. yeah.. anytime you call, while I am at work, is a bad time. But.. since I am at work until at least 11:00pm, every night, I suppose I can allow the phone call 🙂

Mom sounded in good spirits this morning and it sounds like she and Kerrie had a pretty good day yesterday. She was hoping for the same today. Joi was Kerrie’s nurse today, so they were planning another shower for Ker-bear ( have to take advantage of them while they can) and hopefully get her out of bed for a while. A lot depended on whether or not she was going to need blood or platellets today. I never heard back on that..

Another CT scan was scheduled for today. Kerrie’s still having pain in her face and the left side of her face has swollen. Someone from the dental department was going to take a look at Kerrie, and the CT Scan, to see if this may have anything to do with her dental work. She needed some work done, prior to the transplant, but it was postponed because we couldn’t really postpone her Chemo and, with all the antibiotics she would be on, it shouldn’t be a problem. She’s not on a huge amount of antibiotics now.. so we’re thinking this may be what’s causing the problem.

I’m hoping I’ll hear from Mom, tomorrow, and be able to get some more info. She works tomorrow night, so I will have to try to catch her early.

Note to Uncle Dan: Yes.. I had the same thought as you when I typed the “Sister Jenn” name in the gallery.. but I think the closest we are ever going to get to that was when I played a nun in the Sound of Music 🙂

    Kerrie,

Just wanted to let you know that the entire team here at Crittenton are thinking about you and praying for you. We certainly hope you feel better soon and can get back to the rehab process with us.

    Take care
