“Hi Kerrie, how was your day today?”
“Well.. Helloooo.. it was a pretty good day today”
“Was that because you didn’t have Rehab?”
“YUP! HEE HEE HEE”
She sounded great tonight.. happy even. I love hearing her like that.Mom sounded good too, though they were both obviously tired.
Just your basic sit around the house, get up and brush your teeth at the kitchen sink until you can’t stand anymore kind of day. I guess they didn’t sit around ALL day.. they practiced getting in and out of the car and Mom said it went “OK”. Kerrie’s getting a little bit stronger, so it may get easier for her.. but I think they are going to have to rely on that wheelchair van a little longer.
Rehab tomorrow, Wednesday and Friday.. and Henry Ford again on Thursday. I just found out, tonight, that they have decided Kerrie will have to continue with weekly visits, instead of the bi-weekly they had mentioned a little over a week ago. Some of her blood work wasn’t what they wanted, so they will want to keep an eye on her. Her hemoglobin and white blood cell counts were lower than they wanted.. so it’s back to weekly visits. I’m not going to get too stressed out about this just yet, though my heart sank when Mom told me about it…
Worried about this week’s visit to Dr. Jana, since I think the bone marrow biopsy will be done this week. They had better get it over with. I will be the one taking her for her visit, next week, and it would be best for all involved if I’m not there. But.. Mom promised me she’d be sedated, so I am keeping faith in that.
I’m a little confused about the date for having the Gal Bladder removed. It was originally the first week in May, but I think Mom changed it to Monday, May 8th?? Can’t wait for that one to be done, so she can have one less tube hanging out of her body and won’t have to drag around that aweful catheter bag thingy ( actual medical term) that it drains into anymore.
Kerrie, maybe Mom will let you have breakfast in bed tomorrow.. if not, don’t worry.. I’ll be back in a few days 🙂

Hello Kerrie. Sorry its been so long since I’ve been able to write to you, but after being in out of state trials for the past 8 months, I then had a car accident and have been in a hospital bed in Georgia for the past two. Gosh, from what I’m reading, you’ve certainly come a long way and I’m so happy to hear that. I’ll be coming home soon and hope to come see you directly. Keep strong, my friend.

From Mom
Surgery is Tuesday May 15th…….and they are planning to do the Bone Marrow Biopsy at the ame time. So, Jenn, quit stressing about her having sedation, she’ll probably be asleep. 🙂
