Well, we survived.. mostly all in one piece 🙂

There was the incident with the T-Shirt and then another one involving a wheelchair, toilet and falling down pants.. Kerrie survived that one alright, though a little upset.. I ended up pulling just about every muscle in my back and am now walking like a 90 year old woman. Nothing a little rest, and a nice heating pad, can’t take care of.. but it did make the rest of the day a  little less than pleasant. Ahh.. the price we pay for our beautiful sisters.

Just had to tell you a story about Kerrie’s Speech Therapy today and forgot to do it in the earlier post. The Therapist was trying to get her to work on word recognition so asked her to name every kind of fruit she could think of. Kerrie sat there for a minute and then said “Strawberries…. Cherries..”…. she sat, obviously thinking very intently. I’m waiting to hear your basic, every day fruits and out of her mouth comes…

“apricots”

“boysenberries”

“pomegranets”

The Therapist and I just stared at each other and both said we wouldn’t have thought of that. So then she asks her what other ones and Kerrie can’t think of any, so she say’s to Kerrie “What if you were in a grocery store. What kind of fruit would you probably see first?”

“Oh.. well, first I would see oranges, apples and bananas” very matter of factly as if it was the stupidest question she’d heard that day. When I told Mom about this she started laughing and said to me,” Who the heck would think of apricots, boysenberries and pomegranets first?” and Kerrie replies, “Well..I would!”

I don’t think any of us give her as much credit as we should. She may be having a little difficulty right now be she is definately “in there” somewhere.

Mom wants me to say a special “Thank You” to the person who had the box of groceries delivered. Mom loved the paper towel, gloves, laundry detergent and clorox wipes. Kerrie said the clorox wipes were cool but she was really excited about the Boost. Thank you “whoever” you are. There was no name attached to the package, so we only know it came from netgrocer.com

Please let us know who you are, so we can thank you properly.. and if you would prefer not to let us know your identity please know how much your gift is appreciated.

Teena, Kerrie loved the care-bears and we’re going to have them lead us in our aerobics tomorrow!

Hopefully tomorrow goes as well as today did.
