Hello Everyone,
While Jenn is away I will do my best to keep you updated…….. By the way, I have heard from her, she is in Bulgaria and doing well. She is keeping in touch daily with a phone call. She and her friends are planning a trip to Greece on Monday. Mentioned that she might want to give that a second thought given the incident in Athens… they had not heard about it so are going to check it out.
 Â
Kerrie is doing ok today. Still some question about her gall bladder problem. The surgeons say she still needs the drain put in…. the bone marrow people don’t want to do it…so I will let them figure it out…in the meantime, I will keep busy filling the ice chip cup.
 Â
Kerrie’s lab work is actually getting better, the liver enzymes, while still high are beginning to go down. But her blood counts are still very low. She has gotten platelets and blood transfusions and I expect that there will be more today or tomorrow. The iron level in the liver is still very elevated as well, about a gazillion above normal. Still don’t know what they will do about that (and don’t think anyone knows at this time either).
 Â
Been asked about Kerrie’s current address…. think the best thing for cards, etc. is to send them to me…….I can probably get them to her as fast as the mail to Henry Ford, and the way she moves around, no telling where she will be from one day to the next.
 Â
Not much else to report at this time, except that Ker says hi to everyone. She was laid a little low for a couple of days, but hope she’ll be back on the computer soon.
 Â
Will post more soon,
Joan

Joan! I’m really proud of you! I know it’s not easy tackling something like this when you are exhausted, as you most probably always are! Love you!

Hi Joan,
I’m proud of you as well. You must be really tired from everything that you have to do while Jenn is gone. I know one thing you will be so happy when she gets back to help out. :o)
Please tell Kerrie that Joe, Christy & I said hi and that were always thinking of her and the rest of the family members. Please take care of yourself Joan and thank you so much for keeping everyone update on how Kerrie is doing.
Kerrie is one very strong person and I’m so proud of her as well for still fighting this and she isn’t going to be giving up till she is finally out of the hospital.
Please give Kerrie a big hug from the three of us.
Please also tell her that my mom has prayers going around for her at her church that she goes to and her friends as well.
Love,
Sandy
