We have results of the MRI… shows no change in the infection, but does show one of her arteries may be a little closed ( Mom is that right? Not sure I heard you right)
It’s also been determined the positive blood cultures she had were probably the result of an infection from her PIC Line ( Permanent IV in her arm). They’ve been treating her with antibiotics and put a new PIC line in today.
Someone, not sure which department, ordered a bunch of test for her including an EEG and another Spinal Tap… but they weren’t aware of the infection she had, so her BMT doctors aren’t going to subject her to all those additional test.. especially the Spinal Tap. They will probably have her do the EEG, so seizure can be ruled out, but I’m glad they are not going to make her go through the Spinal Tap thing again..
Mom said Kerrie was in good spirits today and laughing with her nurses.. good sign she’s feeling better. Mom told her Physical Therapy was coming today and she said, “Thank you very much. Not today!”
This made everyone laugh, but Mom reminded the PT person of Mom’s orders…”Don’t take no for an answer!” They remembered… and I’m sure they wouldn’t dare cross Mom!
NOMC is ready to take Kerrie back and hopefully she’ll be ready to go back soon.
Estimated date of arrival… Wednesday…
 Keep your fingers crossed!

Dear Jen,
