I no sooner than finished the last post and Mom called…
Kerrie has just come back from her MRI and is now laying in bed, eating dinner. I spoke with her, briefly, and she asked if I had gotten the e-mail she sent me today???
I immediately logged on my e-mail and there was one from Kerrie. Very simple… one little word.. “Hi”. It was enough 🙂
She sounded much better tonight and, although she is still having some identification problems, Mom said she’s doing better tonight as well.
Mom had to leave the hospital, for a little while, earlier today and Kerrie was sitting with the laptop.. Mom wanted to put it away, because she was worried something would happen to it if Kerrie wasn’t being watched, but Kerrie didn’t want shut it down…
Mom told her they had to be really careful with it and asked her is she realized what would happen if something happened to that laptop. Kerrie’s response.. “Yup!. I’m gonna get creamed!”
She was a good little sister and protected my computer with great care 🙂 Although she probably wasn’t able to get through much of it, Mom said she did spend some time reading the web page today. First time in a long time she’s been able to do that.
We don’t have the MRI results yet, but her blood cultures do show positive for some bacteria of some kind…
If Mom gets the results of the MRI tonight, she’s going to give me a call and I’ll be sure to let everyone know.
I’ve asked Mom to please remind them that the last time she was acting like this she was getting a certain type of antifungal… they stopped this particular medication a few weeks ago and put her on another kind. Due to her increased liver enzymes, they took her off the other kind of antifungal, and put her back on the old antifungal, sometime last week. It’s too simple of an explanation.. but what if this is some kind of reaction she’s having to this particular medication? It’s a thought.
If by some insane miracle, I turned out to be right I will be sure to send them my bill for “consultation” 🙂
