Almost midnight, have just gotten home and have to get to bed… wouldn’t want to be late on the first day back from our vacation.. but wanted to give a brief update on Kerrie.

No MRI’s or other testing done today. Kerrie is pretty stable and much more alert than last night ( But not as alert as she was yesterday afternoon).

Mom and I tried to do some of her PT excersizes with her, but she kept saying she couldn’t do them and doesn’t remember doing them at NOMC. There was one excersize that I kept insisting she did at NOMC, and that I saw her do it myself and she said, “Well. Was I there when you did this?” Yes Kerrie… you were there when I saw you doing the excersizes. 🙂

Mentally and emotionally, for most of the day, she seemed to be back where she was about 4 weeks ago. The only difference is that she is not constantly asking for ice chips. She actually went several hours without them today and didn’t even seem to notice.

Later in the evening she was definatley getting to be more like herself and was even on the computer for a little while. She really wanted to get on the webpage, but then they had to premedicate her before giving her once of her antiobotics.. and she drifted off to sleep.

Mom is waiting to see what the doctors have to say tomorrow.. several things have been suggested including the possibility of seizure, dehydration, electrolytes being off…

The good thing is that she is not as lost and confused as she was, even though it takes her a while to remember my name.. and can’t remember how I’m related to her.. We could see a lot more of “Kerrie” this evening, so hopefully this is just going to be a short stay at Henry Ford and that we’ll have some answers tomorrow.
